ARINC Named Prime Contractor on DHS TacCom Contract (5/10/12)
ARINC Engineering Services was named as a prime contractor to provide tactical communications infrastructure services under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Tactical Communications Contract Vehicle (TacCom), a multiple award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract. The contract has a five-year performance period with a maximum total value of $3 billion.
Arinc may provide a variety of services under TacCom. These services could include communications site development, RF system analysis and design, environmental and logistics support, site construction and system implementation.
To fulfill the requirements of the contract, ARINC will work with several subcontractors, including QinetiQ-North America, Serco, Sage Systems Technologies, Wireless Infrastructure Services, Alutiiq Global Solutions, JM Waller Associates and Zavda Technologies.
TacCom was established to provide a full array of communications hardware, infrastructure services and sustainment support to the DHS, its components and partner agencies. These include the White House Communications Agency and the U.S. departments of State, Justice and Interior.
