Arvada Selects Black & Veatch for Site Builds
Tuesday, April 18, 2017 | Comments

The city of Arvada, Colorado, is developing two new communications sites in support of the city’s first responder Project 25 (P25) system. Black & Veatch will design and build the radio towers, shelters, foundations and generators.

The new system will increase interoperability and expand radio coverage, Black & Veatch said. Project design will include engineering support with site design — fault calculations, diagramming, equipment selection, cable route and shelter layout, and permitting. Construction will include procurement, installation, assembly and system testing.

Arvada is part of the Denver metropolitan area and has a population of about 113,300.
